Portrait Club is for anyone who, like us, enjoys drawing and painting and sees their development as an artist as a continuous and organic process.

We’ll periodically send you inspirational portraits, selected for their originality, technical mastery, or just sheer charm, and any other morsels that we think are just too interesting or valuable to miss.

We add every portrait we post to our gallery, which is open to all subscribers. We also have a resources section with free portrait-drawing tutorials plus hints, tips, and advice from an ever-growing pool of artists, and an archive of fascinating articles.

The internet provides us with an ocean of information, inspiration and advice. We’re in an age where we can see, at the touch of a button, almost any notable art in the world, past or present, and we can find help on any given subject. The problem of course is ‘information overload’, how to filter that ocean for useful and inspirational nuggets, and organize them in a way that is digestible, enjoyable, and helpful. That’s what we do.

Our objective is to keep you motivated. What inspires us is art, particularly portraits, that stops you in your tracks, draws you in, and makes you want to pick up a pencil or a brush. Alongside feeding your curiosity and joy of discovery we aim to provide a comprehensive resource of advice about the techniques that will help you to become an accomplished artist.
